Inserting a finger and inducing vomiting are among the things that invalidate fasting according to scholars. Whoever does so has invalidated their fast and must make it up.
The cited the of Abu Hurairah, elevated (to the Prophet), "Whoever intentionally vomits must make it up," narrated by Abu Dawud and graded by Al-Tirmidhi.
