Is complaining to one's husband about severe distress caused by someone – without slandering that person – considered a form of suppressing anger, and does God's subsequent pleasure with what happened confirm the correctness of the action?

If your neighbor wrongs you, you may tell your husband about her injustice and ask him not to associate with her. It is permissible to abandon someone who causes harm, provided you do not accuse them unjustly or think ill of them. Complaining to redress injustice is not blameworthy. As for the fulfillment of a person's desires, it may be a sign of Allah's pleasure or a gradual enticement [istidrāj]. And affliction may be for one's good and to elevate one's ranks.
