What is the ruling on a retirement pension for a person who worked in usurious banks for 18 years, then repented and left the job 9 years ago, knowing that the retirement system relies on subscription fees, part of which is paid by the worker, their employer, and the government?

This person has done well by leaving the work in the usurious bank and repenting from it, and we ask Allah to accept his repentance. Working in a usurious bank and the salary derived from it, as well as what is given after retirement, is forbidden, because it results from aiding in sin. It is not permissible to benefit from this money; rather, it should be spent on the general welfare of Muslims, unless one is compelled to take an amount sufficient to meet his necessities or dire needs. However, if the retirement salary includes a grant from another party other than the bank, it is permissible to take this grant if it is not in exchange for working in the usurious bank.
