Is greeting with a hand gesture in the car without uttering the salaam better, or is it better to postpone the greeting until meeting or stopping the car to make the salaam heard?

As for gesturing with the hand without uttering peace, it is better to abandon it or to pronounce the word of peace along with the gesture; for the greeting of the Jews is by pointing with fingers, and the greeting of the Christians is by gesturing with their palms. Al-Ansari mentioned in "Asna al-Matalib" that greeting without uttering a word is contrary to what is preferable, and that it does not necessitate a reply.
