Any blood a woman sees during the period when menstruation is possible is considered menstrual blood. The seven days during which the questioner saw the last blood are considered menstruation, and the period of purity that preceded it was fourteen days, which exceeds the minimum period of purity between two menstruations (13 days according to the Hanbalis). Therefore, the returning blood after this period is considered menstruation, and she must refrain from prayer and fasting until the blood stops and she sees purity. This applies if the duration of the returning blood exceeds one day and one night. However, if it is merely a yellowish or brownish discharge, it is not considered menstruation unless it is connected to blood.
