Are the two daughters entitled to claim their share of the house that their father sold, and whose price he spent on his son and his family before his death, knowing that the father owned nothing else? And is the father sinful for doing that?

Resolving disputes concerning inheritance issues and shared rights is the prerogative of the Sharia (definition) courts or their representatives, due to their ability to hear from all parties in the dispute, ascertain the facts, and issue a ruling. This differs from the Mufti (definition), who hears only from one side. Equality among children in gifts (hiba) is recommended by the majority of scholars, and obligatory according to the Hanbalis, Abu Yusuf, and one narration from Malik. The preponderant opinion for us is that one sins if he favors some of his children without a legitimate Sharia-compliant reason.
