The answer

Slight fatigue and hardship during fasting are not excuses for breaking the fast because they are customary. For a pregnant woman, there are two situations: First, if the fatigue is slight and she does not fear for herself or her fetus, then she must fast. Second, if the hardship is severe or she fears harm to herself or her fetus, then breaking the fast is better for her and may be obligatory. She must make up the days she missed. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen mentioned that making up the days (qadaa') alone is the more preponderant view for a pregnant woman if she breaks her fast out of fear for her fetus, without the need for feeding (fidya).
