If the coupons are distributed free of charge, there is no harm in benefiting from the prize or selling it, as long as it is not used in disobedience. However, if one pays a price for them, then this is forbidden gambling. The agreement between friends to share the prize is a promise, and fulfilling it is commendable but not obligatory according to the majority of scholars.
