If the suitor is righteous, then he should be accepted. It is permissible to benefit from his parents' mixed wealth in purchasing a home and wedding preparations, and to accept their gifts. However, if all of his parents' wealth comes from usurious banks, the majority of scholars hold that unlawful wealth inherited is not permissible for the heir, while some believe that wealth forbidden due to its earning is not forbidden for someone other than the earner.
