Is it a condition to mention the donor's name when giving charity on their behalf for the purpose of clearing one's conscience?

If, when paying the Zakat, you intend that it is on behalf of your client, then you have fulfilled the agency and your responsibility is discharged. You are not required to utter the name of the one giving the Zakat unless he requests that of you.
