How can one combine the study of Sharia sciences with university studies in the English Language Department?

Combining religious and worldly studies is possible for whomever Allah facilitates it for, and it requires seeking Allah’s help and high aspirations. Among the things that aid in achieving this is good utilization and organization of time, such that the student allocates time for each study; for example, allocating time for studying religious sciences with a trustworthy scholar, provided that this does not conflict with the time for studying worldly sciences.
