Is it permissible for a Muslim to proofread a linguistic article or research paper related to the teachings of a religion that contradicts Islam, while receiving payment for it? And is this considered aiding in the dissemination of teachings that violate the Islamic religion?

If the articles about the teachings of religions other than Islam aim to refute the falsehoods of those religions and undermine them, then it is permissible to be hired for linguistic proofreading and other related tasks concerning them. However, if they are for promoting or advertising those religions, then it is not permissible to assist in them in any way, because assisting in sin is forbidden, as Allah Almighty says: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression" (Al-Ma'idah: 2). Jurists have stipulated the prohibition of being hired to write what is forbidden, and the impermissibility of copying books of distorted religions or books of innovators, due to the assistance in sin that this entails.
