Is a Friday sermon valid if it is an interpretation of the Holy Quran every day?

It is from the Sunnah (definition) to remind people of the Quran in the Friday sermon (khutbah (definition)). Some scholars have made it obligatory for the sermon to contain something from the Quran, citing prophetic traditions as evidence. Al-Shafi'i held the view that exhortation and the recitation of a verse are obligatory, while the majority of scholars held that they are not obligatory. Scholars agreed on the desirability of reciting something from the Quran in the sermon, but differed on the place of recitation. Some said it could be in either one (of the two parts of the sermon) without specifying which, some said in the first, some said in both, and some said in the second sermon.
