Is the emission of semen due to extreme stress—which often occurs during daily life activities such as prayer, ablution, and even in nightmares—considered a whisper from Satan, and what is the legitimate Islamic advice to overcome this problem that prevents one from performing religious obligations and living a normal life?

Ghusl is obligatory if semen is discharged with lust while awake or is emitted during sleep, unless it reaches the extent of سلس (incontinence). If semen is discharged while awake without pleasure, it nullifies ablution but does not necessitate Ghusl according to the majority of scholars, except that the Shafi'is hold that it necessitates Ghusl. To treat nightmares while awake or asleep, it is recommended to perform Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism), recite morning and evening remembrances, read the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and not yield to obsessive whispers that call for repeated ablution and prayer. If a person is not afflicted with سلس, there is no need to repeat ablution and prayer unless ablution is certainly nullified. As for the one afflicted with سلس, they must follow the specific rulings of purity and prayer for their condition. Prayer is obligatory, and there is no justification for abandoning it as long as one is of sound mind.
