Is abandoning prayer due to obsessive thoughts about vaginal discharge and wetness permissible, and how can one overcome this and return to observing it regularly?

Abandoning prayer is a great sin for which a Muslim has no excuse as long as their intellect is sound. You must repent and maintain your prayers. Strive against whisperings [waswas], for giving in to them leads to great evil. Vaginal discharge is pure and does not necessitate istinja (cleaning oneself with water). If it is continuous, it takes the ruling of سلس ( سلس البول - urinary incontinence or سلس الريح - continuous flatulence), and according to the Malikis, it does not require ablution (wudu). The majority of scholars, however, hold that ablution is required for each prayer after its time has begun. It is permissible to adopt the easier opinion to ward off whisperings. Do not be overly scrupulous [waswas] about ablution; leave doubt and proceed with your worship, and do not succumb to Satan's whisperings regarding the water not covering all parts.
