Impurity and Cleaning
- Is it sufficient to use a bidet for purification without using one's hand in preparation for Wudu and prayer?
- What is the ruling on purification (taharah) and prayer (salat) for a patient with neurogenic bladder whose urine flow is intermittent, and from whom wadī, madhī, and manī are discharged upon istinjā’ (cleaning oneself after urinating or defecating), and who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder regarding urination? Does he perform wudu’ for every prayer? And is his purification sufficient for only one obligatory prayer?
- If the impurity is dry and the touched object is wet, there are two opinions regarding the transfer of impurity: one that it transfers, and one that it does not. An example of this is dry urine at the base of the toilet when it comes into contact with water. The question is why the opinion of non-transfer of impurity was not applied in Fatwa no. 331471 in the cases of the sandal and the bedding.
- Is it obligatory to use the left hand for performing istijmar, just as it is for istinja, or is it permissible to use the right hand for istijmar in cases of hardship and fear of spreading impurity?
- Are the homes of the suitor's family and his brothers, their shops, their cars, and the places where the suitor sits, judged to be pure or impure, knowing that the suitor's elderly and sick mother urinated on a bed on which everyone sits, and they go with those clothes to their homes and shops?
- What is the ruling on eating the meat of chickens that feed on cockroaches, knowing that these cockroaches feed on restaurant waste?
- What is the ruling on a small amount of madhi discharge, and is it permissible to adopt the view of the Malikis that it is among the pardoned impurities, and does madhi transfer if it mixes with sweat?
- In light of suffering from scrupulosity (waswas), does hand perspiration, which is unseen but felt, transfer impurity (najasa)? And is everything touched by hands or objects presumed to have impurity on them considered to have become impure, such as clothes washed with menstrual blood whose location is unknown, or the phone and other items touched by perspiration that is suspected of transferring impurity? And has a makeup container into which water entered and was left to dry become pure, or must it be discarded? And do smooth surfaces become pure by dry or wet wiping, and does dry cleaning purify the hukmi (constructive/legal) impurity of clothes? And if impure items are considered pure, will my prayer not be accepted?
- What is the ruling on clothes worn without istinja' (purification after defecating or urinating) while having hair (on them)?
- What is the ruling on residual urine inside the urethral opening after purification (istinja'), and is it excusable, especially if it emerges after a period and only comes out with straining or manipulation? And what is the ruling on the prayers I have performed with doubt about the emergence of this urine?
- Does the discharge of fluid upon merely thinking about a man's penis during prayer, without feeling sexual desire, count as madhy (pre-seminal fluid), or as water from istinja (cleaning oneself after urinating/defecating), or as vaginal moisture that does not nullify wudu?
- Does snow falling from the sky purify an impure object, and does an ice cube placed on an impure garment or rug purify it?
- What is the ruling on using restrooms without water in a foreign country, and are clothes considered impure after using them?
- How can one deal with the problem of urine drops exiting after urination, which leads to feeling that clothes are ritually impure and abandoning prayer, especially with the difficulty of constantly changing and washing clothes?
- How is the Mushaf purified if it is unintentionally defiled?
- Is it sufficient to pour water to purify the spot on the body that was touched by dry istinja’ water, or is rubbing necessary?
- What is the ruling on ablution (wudu') and prayer if the impurity (najasah) is on parts of the body other than the ablution organs or on one's clothes, and what should one do if they remember the presence of impurity during ablution?
- Is a dog's bite considered like other impurities in terms of purification, or is it like a dog licking a vessel, requiring washing seven times, one of them with earth? And do the skirt and leg become pure by washing them once after a dog's bite, given that there is no recollection of saliva reaching them?
- Is a drop of prostatic fluid (madhy) that does not extend beyond the tip of the penis considered among the minor impurities that are excused, and how can one get rid of the obsessive doubts about the transmission of ritual impurity (najāsa) and purify the body, clothes, and home?
- Is the method of cleaning oneself after defecating by pouring water on the left hand and wiping the anus until the impurity is completely removed correct, knowing that the water does not reach between the labia with this method?
- Is it permissible for a sick person to pray while wearing a diaper containing impurities?
- Does the ruling of pure water cease to apply to a small amount of water (less than two qullahs) if an insect, such as a cockroach, falls into it, rendering it unfit for drinking or ablution?
- Are slight impurities that affect the body or clothing pardoned, and does this include the impurities of dogs and cats?
- What is the ruling on the impurity that has affected the house tiles due to a clogged toilet, and how can it be purified if the cleaning method used is insufficient, and what are the implications of its spread throughout the house?
