Is the husband entitled to compel his wife to observe the Sunnah and restrict her regarding them, and to quarrel with her for not performing them? And is obedience to him obligatory in such matters, especially since one is not sinful for neglecting them?

A wife's obedience to her husband is obligatory in matters related to marital affairs, and commendable concerning his commands regarding Sunnah (prophetic traditions) and supererogatory acts of worship.

The wife is advised to obey her husband in observing supererogatory acts and Sunnah, and to thank Allah for a righteous husband who desires good for her and assists her in obedience.

Likewise, the husband is advised to be gentle with his wife and patient with her.
