What is meant by being pleased with disbelief or by disbelief? Is it loving disbelief or feeling joy upon hearing about disbelief? Is wishing for all people to suffer from disbelief due to obsessive thoughts, or wondering why disbelievers do not suffer psychologically like those with obsessive thoughts, considered disbelief that annuls the marriage contract? Is it permissible to adopt Ibn Taymiyyah’s view that the marriage contract remains valid even if apostasy occurs before or after consummation, and even if the waiting period has ended?
