Is it permissible to wear clothing that has the names of European infidel players on the back, or clothing that has a cross, somewhat inconspicuous, on the chest?

It is forbidden for a Muslim to wear anything that contains images of living beings. The prohibition becomes more severe if the images are of unveiled women, revered figures, disbelievers, or immoral individuals. Furthermore, wearing clothes with a cross is even more strictly prohibited and a greater sin, because it is a symbol of disbelievers and a sign of their lie, in which they claim that Christ was crucified. Allah Almighty has denied and refuted this, saying: "And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [rather] it was made to appear to them so." Scholars have held that if a Muslim insists on wearing a cross after being informed of its ruling, then they are judged to have committed an act of disbelief.
