What is the religious ruling regarding a husband who compels his wife to commit forbidden acts, such as flaunting herself in front of strangers, attempting to seduce her sister's husband, imagining sexual relations with her sisters, and verbally abusing them?

Everything the husband does, such as asking for immodest display (tabarruj) and the uncovering of awrahs to strangers, is a major sin and goes against sound human nature (fitra). It is precisely the form of dayouthah (lack of protective jealousy) that Allah has forbidden paradise to those who practice it, as the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Three people Allah has forbidden paradise to: an alcoholic, one who disobeys his parents, and the dayouth who approves of indecency among his family."

It is forbidden for the wife to obey her husband in these reprehensible acts, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. She must repent and seek forgiveness for what she may have done previously.

The wife must advise her husband and explain that what he is doing constitutes major sins. If he repents, then praise be to Allah. If he insists on continuing his actions, then she must immediately seek a divorce from him.
