Are the groups ordered to be abandoned in Hudhayfah’s حديث Islamic groups such as the Salafis, the Ikhwan, and the Tablighis?
On the authority of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned that after a period of good, there would be evil, then after the evil, good mixed with "smoke," and then callers at the gates of Hell. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised at that time to adhere to the community of Muslims and their leader. If there is no community or leader for them, then to isolate oneself from all those factions. It is obligatory upon a Muslim to adhere to the Muslim community and cooperate with them wherever they are. If he does not find a community, then he must adhere to the truth even if he is alone, because the community is that which conforms to the truth. In this era, there are many communities across the world that call to the truth. Therefore, a Muslim should seek them out and adhere to them if he finds that they call to the Book of Allah and the of His Messenger and dedicate worship to Allah alone.
