Must a husband stay with his second wife for the same duration he spent with the first wife during a treatment trip?

If a husband travels with his sick wife, he must make up the days he spent with the sick wife for the other wife after his return, because she did not miss out on her night due to a reason originating from her. The Shafi'i jurists mentioned that he is not obligated to make up the days consecutively, but rather he can distribute them and divide them.
