Is a wife required to obtain her husband's permission to dedicate the reward of an 'Umrah or Hajj to a deceased relative?

Scholars have not stipulated the issue of a wife seeking her husband's permission to dedicate the reward of Hajj to a deceased person. If the wife performs Hajj with her own money, she is not required to seek her husband's permission. However, if she performs Hajj with his money, it cannot be definitively stated that seeking his permission is obligatory. Nevertheless, it might be better for her to seek permission before dedicating the reward, as it is possible that the husband intended his donation for the Hajj expenses to be for his wife to receive the reward exclusively for herself.
