What is the way to deal with a father who is constantly quarrelsome, refuses to pay people their dues, demands that his daughter pay for her food, and how can one be patient with his abusive behavior?

The father erred in mistreating neighbors and withholding people's rights. The neighbor has rights, and Allah has commanded kindness towards him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade harming neighbors, saying: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his neighbor," and "By Allah, he does not believe!" — he swore by that three times — It was asked: "Who, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "He whose neighbor is not safe from his mischief."

The questioner did well by giving the requested amount. She must honor her father and obey him in what is good, bear his harm with patience, and try to advise him to avoid oppressing people and harming his neighbors.
