How can I reconcile being good in my treatment of my father's wife and my mother, especially when I feel annoyed by my mother's actions, while fearing falling into disobedience?

The mother's right is great and obligatory, and disobeying her is one of the greatest prohibitions; because Allah Almighty has coupled the right of parents with His right, and commanded kindness to them, and prohibited disobedience to them, and made the mother's supplication answered. Anger is not an excuse for abuse, and one must repent from shortcomings and apologize to the mother, and her suffering should increase your dutifulness towards her. The dutifulness to the mother must be prioritized over dutifulness to the stepmother, while also being kind to the stepmother.
