What is the ruling on saying "I do not love my Lord" out of despair from a daughter's persistent demands?
Indeed, the love of Allah is an obligation and the foundation of religion. With its perfection, faith becomes perfect. Therefore, one must strive to attain it and remember Allah's blessings. Allah Almighty says: (Say: If your fathers and your sons and your brethren and your mates and your kinsfolk and property which you have acquired, and traffic for which you fear a decline, and dwellings which you love, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in His way, then wait till Allah brings about His command; and Allah does not guide the transgressing people).
It is not permissible, according to Islamic law, to declare a lack of love for Allah due to a daughter's annoyance. Rather, her heart should be attached to Allah, and she should be encouraged to ask Him and seek help through prayer and supplication.
