How do I choose a true goal in my life that pleases God and my parents?

The Muslim's ultimate goal is Allah's pleasure and Paradise. This is achieved by worshipping Allah through performing His commands and abstaining from His prohibitions. Then, his aspiration should be to guide people to worship Allah with wisdom and good counsel, which is the function of prophets and scholars. The Muslim will not be able to fulfill his role in life and achieve his goals except through beneficial knowledge by which he discerns rights and which guides him to the Straight Path.
