Is it permissible for a woman whose husband has passed away to travel to perform Umrah on her way back to her home country while remaining in her iddah?

It is not permissible for a woman whose husband has passed away to embark on a new journey for 'Umrah or other purposes, except out of necessity or need. She must limit herself to journeys that are absolutely necessary, and she should complete her 'iddah there. She must not leave her home at night except out of necessity, nor during the day except out of need. If she violates this and does what is not permissible for her, she must repent to Allah, and this does not affect the duration of her 'iddah.
