Is it permissible to say "I love you" or "I respect your morals" to a Christian female colleague at university?

It is permissible to address a Christian female colleague with expressions of affection such as "I love you" or "I respect your morals" if it is in the context of inviting her to Islam, explaining the invalidity of her religion, and desiring to save her from misguidance, due to the kindness and gentleness involved in such a call. However, if the address is not in the context of inviting her to Islam, then it is not permissible, as it may give her the impression that she is in the right. It has been prohibited to initiate greetings of peace with the People of the Book, and it is disliked to show affection towards them in a way that necessitates love. A Muslim woman should be keen to associate with righteous women.
