Where was Allah before creation?

The answer came explicitly from the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the hadith of Abu Razin Al-Uqayli, may Allah be pleased with him, who asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Where was our Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, before He created the heavens and the earth?" He replied: "He was in a ama' (cloud), with no air above Him and no air below Him. Then He created the Throne, and then He rose above it." (Ama' means: cloud).
