Is it permissible to supplicate for the guidance of those who eat food specially cooked for this purpose and offered to non-Muslim parents?

The ruling on supplicating for guidance when offering food is divided into two cases:

The first case: If the supplicant believes that offering food is a condition for the acceptance of the supplication, or that it increases its favorability, or links guidance to this act, then this belief is incorrect and leads to attachment to outward actions. This is one of the additive innovations (bid'ah idafiyyah) that cause people to fall into delusion and divert them from sincere reliance on Allah.

The second case: If the supplication is free from the aforementioned beliefs and the intention is to generally supplicate for guidance or for a specific group who have gathered for a meal, then there is no harm in it. This is provided that in this case, no specific particularity is believed, nor that it is taken as a habit or a regular litany, nor that it is linked to a specific event or the action of a particular person. All of these fall under the principles of innovation.
