Is it permissible to pray in a shirt that has the name of an alcoholic beverage on it?

A Muslim is not permitted to wear this type of clothing, as it promotes falsehood, especially during acts of worship, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." As for praying in it, the prayer is valid, though sinful, as mentioned by Khalil ibn Ishaq al-Maliki. Naming intoxicants "spiritual drinks" is incorrect, because the Shariah named them "wine" (khamr) and established rulings concerning them, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "People from my Ummah will drink wine, calling it by other than its name."
