What is the ruling regarding a woman who became pregnant through fornication and died during childbirth?

The ruling concerning this woman is the same as the ruling concerning other disobedient Muslims. If she repents from adultery, Allah will accept her repentance. If she does not repent, she is among those who commit major sins, and in the Hereafter, her fate is subject to the will of Allah, and her ultimate destination will be Paradise if she dies upon monotheism. Muslims are obligated to wash her, shroud her, pray over her, and bury her in the Muslim cemeteries. Whoever knows of her situation should supplicate extensively for her forgiveness, and it is permissible for people of virtue to refrain from praying over her as a deterrent to those who commit sins.
