What is the ruling on performing ablution and prayer when there are continuous, intermittent, and irregular discharges that necessitate ablution for each prayer?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If you find sufficient time to perform the prayer with proper purification (tahara), then you must pray within that time. However, if the secretions are continuous throughout the time or stop irregularly, your ruling is similar to that of a woman experiencing istihada (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding); you perform ablution (wudu') after the prayer time begins and pray the obligatory and supererogatory prayers with this ablution, disregarding any irregular interruptions. It is not permissible to perform ablution before the prayer time begins, unless nothing is discharged, in which case the ablution remains valid.
