Does an abundance of requests indicate a lack of gratitude to Allah?

If the intention behind "many requests" is an abundance of supplication to Allah and the servant asking Him for everything they need, then this does not contradict gratitude to Allah nor contentment. Rather, it is something enjoined and encouraged by the Sharia. However, many requests made to a created being are blameworthy in Sharia and naturally disliked. They indicate a lack of contentment, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade them.
