Is it obligatory to give away all of the deceased's clothes and belongings as charity before the third day of their death? And what should be done with the deceased's clothes and daily items?

The statement "One must donate the deceased's clothes as charity" is incorrect. The deceased's clothes and belongings are part of their inheritance, rightfully belonging to the heirs. They may use them or sell them, and they are not obligated to donate them as charity. If they choose to donate them, it is permissible, provided they are adult and mature. However, it is not permissible for anyone to donate the share of a minor. The two Shaykhs, Ibn Uthaymeen and Al-Fawzan, have affirmed that all possessions of the deceased transfer to the heirs, who have the right to dispose of them by selling, using, or donating them. Keeping them for remembrance is not permissible if the intention is to seek blessings from them or to waste money.
