Is the intention to perform the Qiyam and Tahajjud, made at the beginning of the prayer and the Takbirat al-Ihram, sufficient for every two rak'ahs, or must the intention be renewed for each two rak'ahs?

Scholars have differed concerning the renewal of intention for every two units (rak'ahs) in Tarawih prayer. The Hanafis, Shafi'is, and Hanbalis are of the view that every two rak'ahs constitute an independent prayer, and thus, an intention is required for each set of two rak'ahs. However, the Hanafis also have another opinion stating that renewal is not a condition because the entire prayer is considered as one single prayer. The most preponderant view is that it is more cautious to renew the intention for every two rak'ahs.
