How could the Messenger of Allah not know what would be done with him, when he is the Messenger of Allah, and what is the meaning of "By Allah, I indeed hope for good for him, but by Allah, I do not know, while I am the Messenger of Allah, what will be done with me"?
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said that in accordance with the Almighty's saying in Surat Al-Ahqaf: "Say, 'I am not a new messenger, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you,'" before the revelation of the Almighty's saying: "That Allah may forgive you your faults of the past and those to come." Surat Al-Ahqaf is Makkan, and Surat Al-Fath is Madinan. It has been authentically reported that he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I am the first to enter Paradise." And his saying that, peace and blessings be upon him, is proof of his truthfulness and that he stands where Allah has placed him.
