The answer

The Noble Qur’an expounded at length on the hypocrites and their characteristics, and a was named after them [Surat Al-Munafiqun] to expose their true nature and their danger to Muslims. The hypocrites display faith and love for the believers, but they conceal disbelief and hatred, which makes them more dangerous than disbelievers. Surat Muhammad mentioned some of their characteristics, including their mockery and ridicule of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, their pretense of listening to him then asking about what he said after leaving, in addition to their anxiety and weakness when verses about jihad were revealed.
