It is permissible for the company to compensate the traveler for their lost luggage. If the company commits to compensating the traveler for their travel, search duration, and accommodation, or if this is customary, then it also appears to be permissible because it is in exchange for time, effort, and expenses lost due to it. Therefore, if the airline's internal regulations or custom dictate compensation for the effort expended and time lost due to the baggage loss, then it is permissible to accept this compensation.
