Is canceling additional products after the purchase price reaches the free shipping threshold to get their money back, actually considered haram or theft?
It is not permissible to add products to an order with the intention of reaching the free shipping threshold, while intending to cancel them and refund their price. This constitutes deception and trickery to unlawfully consume people's wealth, and because of Allah's saying: "And do not consume your properties among yourselves through falsehood." The website's condition regarding the specified free shipping threshold must be observed, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." Furthermore, the intention to return the item and refund its price falls under concealment, which diminishes the blessing of the sale.
