Three-dimensional designs of animate beings (human or animal) take the ruling of depicting animate beings. Incomplete designs that do not resemble reality, or designs of inanimate objects such as mountains and trees, are not forbidden. Exempted from forbidden drawings are those made for children for their education and amusement. As for what is directed towards adults, it remains under the original ruling of prohibition if it is a complete image of an animate being. Some scholars have permitted this due to the benefits resulting therefrom.
