What is the ruling on healthcare services provided by a private company to employees, which allows the employee to reclaim treatment costs up to a maximum of one thousand Egyptian pounds annually, and ten thousand pounds for surgical operations, without cooperation with an insurance company?

If the service is provided by the company as a donation, then it is permissible (halal (definition)). However, if it is stipulated in the contract, then it is not permissible, because it leads to excessive ambiguity (jahalah fahishah) in the wage, which invalidates the rental contract. This is based on the prohibition by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, against hiring a worker until his wage is made clear to him.
