What is the expiation for not praying for 33 days due to ignorance of its obligation after becoming pure from postpartum bleeding (nifas)?

The period of postpartum bleeding (nifas) ends when the blood stops, even if it is just minutes after childbirth. The woman must then perform a ritual bath (ghusl) and resume the practices of women who are ritually pure. The minimum duration of nifas is a moment, its maximum is sixty days, and its most common duration is forty days.

For one who did not pray out of ignorance of its obligation: if their ignorance is excusable, they are not sinful, but must make up the missed prayers. If their ignorance is not excusable, they must perform sincere repentance (tawbah nasuh) and make up the missed prayers. There is no expiation (kaffarah) for abandoning prayer. One must hasten to make up the prayers to the best of their ability.
