The use of gold and silver vessels for eating, drinking, ablution (wudu), and ritual bathing (ghusl) is forbidden, whether they are plates, spoons, or cups. Therefore, a Muslim must be cautious of such extravagance and waste, and instead spend money on good deeds such as giving charity to the poor, assisting the needy, building mosques, repairing roads, and supporting the mujahideen.
