It is impermissible to benefit from a stolen garment whose source is known, and it must be returned to its owner. However, if it is impossible to identify its owner or their heirs, the preponderant view is to give it away in charity on their behalf. If the person is poor, it is permissible for them to give it in charity to themselves and their family.
