Is there an authentic Hadith indicating that the one who commits theft or consumes illicit wealth will not have his supplications or good deeds accepted for forty days or nights?

The prayer of one who consumes unlawful earnings is not answered. The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned a man who undertakes a long journey, disheveled and dusty, extending his hands to the sky, while his food, drink, and clothing are from unlawful sources, and he has been nourished by the unlawful. How then can his prayer be answered? Theft and consuming unlawful earnings are two reasons for the non-acceptance of supplications and good deeds. Repentance is not accepted unless injustices are redressed and rights are returned to their owners. Repentance wipes away what preceded it, and the one who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin. However, if he does not repent, he remains disobedient and far from Allah the Almighty.
