How is the Sunnah of licking the hand after eating applied, and does licking include only the fingers or both the fingers and the palm of the hand, based on the relevant hadiths?

After finishing a meal, it is sunnah to lick the fingers and the plate before wiping or washing the hand. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you eats, he should not wipe his hand until he licks it or has it licked." Similarly, one is commanded to wipe the plate and gather any remaining food from it, as there is blessing in doing so. It is sunnah to eat with three fingers, but there is no harm if more fingers are needed. It is recommended to lick the hand before wiping or washing it. If one does not do so, someone else who does not find it repulsive may lick it, or an animal may be made to lick it. So, the sunnah is to eat with three fingers and then lick them. If one needs to eat with the palm of the hand, it is then recommended to lick the palm.
