What is the ruling on working as a general manager in a company that deals with usury, deems it lawful to wrongfully consume people's wealth, where the employee is alone with the female manager who is a stranger to him, given the low income and difficulty in finding another job, and is it permissible to take some of its money under the pretext that it was stolen from public funds?

It is impermissible to assist in usurious transactions or in devouring people's wealth unjustly, whether through writing or witnessing, due to the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it to others, its scribe, and its two witnesses," and he said: "They are all equal." It is also impermissible to be alone with a non-mahram (definition) woman, due to the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: "No man should ever be alone with a woman unless there is a mahram with her." Consuming people's wealth unjustly is among the major sins, due to the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: "Every body that has been nourished by unlawful earnings, the Fire is more befitting for it." If you cannot avoid these prohibitions except by leaving this job, then you should leave it.
