What is the ruling on marrying a Christian woman who became pregnant from another relationship, after the brother had previously had intercourse with her, and what are the duties towards the child resulting from the pregnancy?

The marriage of a Muslim man to a non-chaste Kitābīyah (woman of the People of the Book) is not permissible, due to the Almighty's saying: {The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or a polytheist}. If this marriage takes place, it is void. However, the child resulting from it is attributed to the man's lineage, and they inherit from each other by the consensus of Muslims, as long as the spouses believed the marriage to be valid. This child is ruled to be Muslim, following his Muslim father. The man must strive to bring the child close to him, teach him Islam, and raise him well.
